4.38 ct Emerald Cut Imperial Topaz
This gem is fiery reddish orange. It has that special internal glow that makes imperial topaz light up even in a dark room. Until you see it in person, you can't quite imagine it. To get close, picture a beautiful red/orange gem with a candle lit inside it... that's what you have here!
Imperial topaz gets its color from chromium, the same element that gives rubies their red color and emeralds their deep green. Technically, chromium is an inclusion! That's right, the gem gets its beautiful color from an inclusion. That's why emeralds and rubies are nearly always included to some degree. In fact, a flawless emerald or ruby is red flag that the gem is a fake! Imperial topaz is similar, and very clean stones are exceedingly rare.
True to its nature, this imperial topaz has a couple of thin, fine inclusions visible in the photo. On the hand the color and fire of the stone makes them virtually invisible.

Etsy
Is this the first time you've purchased a gem from us? We're good and honest people. And we rely on our good reputation to stay in business. But we do understand that you may be looking for added security when shopping for an expensive stone.
You may always choose to purchase any of our stones through our Etsy store.
Etsy holds your money in escrow until you receive your gemstone. They do happen to charge us a fat 8% of the sale price to do that, so you may notice that some of our prices are a notch higher on Etsy than here on our website.
