Modified Mixed Rectangle Precious Topaz
This golden topaz is ridiculously cool. First of all, it is huge, weighing in over 17 carats. It is a fully saturated golden color with flashing orange highlights. In photos it appears to have bands of different colors, but it is actually quite evenly saturated. It is beautifully cut by Wayne Emery, one of the most respected authorities on gem cutting in the States who is widely quoted by both GIA and IGS.
There are three inclusions in this stone. The first is wispy and trails across the bottom of the stone in the center. This inclusion adds a satin texture that enhances the gem's beauty. There is also on crystalline inclusion on one side that is visible on the hand only at a specific angle. The final inclusion is solid and is skillfully placed placed just in the corner of the gem where it can be easily covered by a setting.

Etsy
Is this the first time you've purchased a gem from us? We're good and honest people. And we rely on our good reputation to stay in business. But we do understand that you may be looking for added security when shopping for an expensive stone.
You may always choose to purchase any of our stones through our Etsy store.
Etsy holds your money in escrow until you receive your gemstone. They do happen to charge us a fat 8% of the sale price to do that, so you may notice that some of our prices are a notch higher on Etsy than here on our website.
